LOCATION.--Lat 44° 41'30", long 114° 02'49"
North American Datum of 1983, in NW1/4 SW1/4 NW1/4 sec.25, T.16 N.,
R.20 E., Lemhi County, Ellis quad., Hydrologic Unit 17060202, on
right bank, about 500 ft upstream from mouth, at Ellis.
DRAINAGE AREA.--830 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1984 to current year.
REVISED RECORDS.--WDR-US-2010: Drainage area.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is
4,634.96 ft above NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS.--There are many diversions upstream for irrigation. The
flow is primarily spring flow. A fish hatchery, about 1 mile
upstream, may have some effect on the flow. Backwater occurs when the
Salmon River reaches about 3,000 cfs.

ft3/s June 4, 1986; maximum gage height, 7.37 ft, June 2,
