    Somerset County Flood Warning Stage for this gage is 11.4 feet. Somerset County Flood Alarm Stage for this gage is 12.4 feet.

     
    gage photoLOCATION. --Lat 40°31'47", long 74°35'18" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Manville Borough, Somerset County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02030105, at downstream center pier on Wilhouski Street bridge over bypass channel at Weston, in Manville Borough, 0.8 mi south of Alma White College, and 1.9 mi north of Millstone.
    DRAINAGE AREA. --271 mi2.
    PERIOD OF RECORD. --Water years 1997, 1999 to current year.
    GAGE. --Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 21.9 ft above NGVD of 1929. Diurnal fluctuations in gage height and water temperature possibly due to flow pattern in sewage effluent that enter the river upstream of gage.
    EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD. --Maximum gage height, 23.21 ft, Sep 17, 1999.
    COOPERATION.--This gage is funded by the Somerset County and USGS.
