During winter months, cold and ice may result in inaccurate real-time gage height and streamflow data. Adjustments or deletions of this data can only be done after detailed analysis.
National Weather Service flood stage for this gage is 2.8 feet.
LOCATION. --Lat 39°54'11", long 75°01'17" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Cherry Hill Township, Camden County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02040202, on right bank just upstream of dam on Wallworth Lake in Pennypacker Park, 200 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 41 (Kings Highway) in Haddonfield, 0.6 mi upstream from North Branch Cooper River, and 7.7 mi upstream from mouth.

GAGE. --Water-stage recorder above concrete dam. Datum of gage is 9.29 ft above NGVD of 1929. Statistical flows reported for this station are for the full period of record. A significant quantity of sewage effluent was diverted into a regional trunk sewer around 1988, thereby reducing streamflows. This results in current flows appearing to be abnormally low when compared to long-term statistics.
COOPERATION. --Funding for this gage is provided by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
