County Route 679 at Harrisville, and 0.3 mi upstream from confluence
with West Branch Wading River.

Water-stage recorder with telemetry. Concrete control
since June 23, 1939. Datum of gage is 4.62 ft above NGVD of 1929.
Records good, except for estimated discharges, which
are fair. Figures given herein represent flow over main spillway and
through bypass channel located 1,000 ft upstream of main spillway. Flow
regulated by Harrisville Pond, 200 ft above station (capacity about
30,000,000 gal) and by ponds and cranberry bogs 5 to 10 mi upstream.
Flow probably reduced by ground-water outflow to nearby surface
drainage basins, such as Oyster Creek.
