Station gage imageSTATION.--01480300 WEST BRANCH BRANDYWINE CREEK NEAR HONEY BROOK, PA
LOCATION.--Lat 40`04'22", long 75`51'40", Chester County, Hydrologic Unit 02040205, on right bank on upstream side of bridge on SR 15185 at Birdell, 0.4 mi downstream from Two Log Run, and 3.0 mi southeast of Honey Brook.
DRAINAGE AREA.--18.7 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1960 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, water-quality monitor, and climatological sensor. Datum of gage is 591.20 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Satellite and land-line telemetry at station.
GAGE HEIGHTS OF IMPORTANCE.-
Supplied by NWS: Action stage-6 ft; Flood stage-7 ft; Moderate flood stage-9 ft; Major flood stage-11 ft.
COOPERATION.--Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Chester County Water Resources Authority, and the U.S. Geological Survey through the Cooperative Water Program.
This station managed by the PAWSC Exton Field Office.
