ATTENTION
THE PHYSICAL LOCATION OF THIS STREAMGAGE HAS CHANGED. THE GAGE IS NOW
LOCATED AT THE EUCLID AVE. (WEST LAKE AVE.) BRIDGE, APPROXIMATELY
0.4 MI UPSTREAM FROM THE PREVIOUS LOCATION. THE MOVE WAS NECESSITATED
BY THE REMOVAL OF DAM #2 BY THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
BEGINNING ON MAY 28, 2014. EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 14, 2014, THE GAGE DATUM
WAS DECREASED BY 10 FEET TO PREVENT THE RECORDING OF NEGATIVE GAGE HEIGHT
VALUES AT THE NEW LOCATION. FOR REFERENCE, A PERIOD OF CORRESPONDING DATA
COLLECTION INDICATED THAT RIVER CONDITIONS ABOVE A GAGE HEIGHT OF
APPROXIMATELY 13.5 FT AT THE NEW LOCATION ARE COMPARABLE TO HISTORIC
CONDITIONS ABOVE APPROXIMATELY 3.5 FT AT THE OLD LOCATION.
(FOR EXAMPLE: 13.5 FT AT THE NEW SITE IS VERY SIMILAR TO 3.5 FT AT THE OLD
SITE; 15.0 FT (NEW SITE) IS SIMILAR TO 5.0 FT (OLD SITE); 18.0 FT (NEW SITE)
IS SIMILAR TO 8.0 FT (OLD SITE); ETC...)
