LOCATION.--Lat 42° 28'21", long 111° 25'10"(Rev.)(NAD83), in NW1/4 sec.15, T.11 S., R.43 E., Bear Lake County, Nounan quad., Hydrologic Unit 16010201, 0.5 mi downstream from check dam, 0.6 mi upstream from mouth, 2 mi east of Nounan post office, and 2.5 mi west of Georgetown.
DRAINAGE AREA.--35.2 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1939 to December 1944 (discontinued).
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 5,900 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Dec. 11, 1942, at site 100 ft downstream at different datum.
REMARKS.--Many diversions above station for irrigation. A substantial check dam 0.5 mi above station is used to irrigate meadows above station by flooding. Operation of dam has a pronounced effect on flow at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge observed, 186 ft3/s May 28,
1941, gage height, 3.85 ft, from rating curve extended above 50 ft3/s;
no flow July 13, 1941.
