USGS 12394500 PRIEST RIVER AT FALK RANCH NR PRIEST RIVER ID

LOCATION.--Lat 48° 16'20", long 116° 51'28"(Rev.) (NAD27), in SE1/4(Rev.) sec.20, T.57 N., R.4 W., Bonner County, Prater Mountain quad., Hydrologic Unit 17010215, on left bank at Falk's ranch, about 1,200 ft downstream from Blue Creek, 7 mi upstream from Lower West Branch, 8 mi north of Priest River, and 15 mi south of Priest Lake.

DRAINAGE AREA.--792 mi2.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--March 1911 to November 1912 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Staff gage. Elevation of gage is 2,191 ft above NGVD of 1929, from river-profile map.

REMARKS.--No diversion above station.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge observed, 6,140 ft3/s May 28, 29, 1912, gage height, 8.4 ft; minimum discharge observed, 344 ft3/s Oct. 23 to Nov. 5, 1911, gage height, 2.2 ft.

COOPERATION.--Several discharge measurements each year furnished by the U.S. Forest Service.
