LOCATION.--Lat 41° 44'10", long 114° 52'36"(Rev.)(NAD83), near NW1/4 corner sec.5, T.44 N., R.63 E., Elko County, NV, Hydrologic Unit 17040213, Hubbard Basin quad., on left bank 0.75 mi upstream from former diversion point for Upper Vineyard ditch, 1.1.25 mi upstream from present diversion dam, and 6 mi southwest of Contact, Nevada.

DRAINAGE AREA.--461 mi2, approximately. Mean elevation, 6,760 ft.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--May 1914 to July 1915, October 1948 to September 1962 (discontinued).

REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 1567: Drainage area.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 5,570 ft above NGVD of 1929, by barometer. May 17, 1914 to July 25, 1915, at site 0.75 mi downstream at different datum.

REMARKS.--Many diversions above and below station for irrigation.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum daily discharge, 4,420 ft3/s Feb. 12, 1962, gage height, 6.69 ft, from rating curve extended above 600 ft3/s, on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow; minimum, 6.8 ft3/s Dec. 26, 1954, gage height, 0.93 ft; minimum gage height, 0.80 ft, Aug. 19, 1962.
