USGS 13096500 UPPER VINDYARD DITCH NEAR CONTACT, NV

LOCATION.--Lat 41° 42'40", long 114° 52'00" (NAD27), in sec.8, T.44 N., R.63 E., Elko County, NV, Hydrologic Unit 17040213, Henry quad., about 0.75 mi downstream from diversion dam on Salmon Falls Creek, and about 9 mi southwest of Contact, Nevada.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--May to September 1914 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Staff gage.

REMARKS.--Upper Vineyard ditch diverted water from the right bank of Salmon Falls Creek in sec.8, T.44 N., R.63 E., for irrigation of a large portion of 900 acres on the Vindyard Ranch.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge observed, 10 ft3/s June 15, 1914, gage height, 0.98 ft; no flow for many days.
