LOCATION.--Lat 43° 50'30", long 115° 49'37"(Rev.)(NAD83), in NW1/4 SE1/4 sec.23, T.6 N., R.5 E., Boise County, Idaho City quad., Hydrologic Unit 17050112, 400 ft upstream from Spanish Fork, and 1 mi north of Idaho City.

DRAINAGE AREA.--24.5 mi2, revised.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--January 1939 to February 1940 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 3,980 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.

REMARKS.--Many diversions above station for placer mining, of which the following affect the flow passing station: Diversion from Elk Creek for Gold Hill placer on left bank in SE1.4 sec.36, T.7 N., R.5 E., 4.4 mi above station, and two diversions for Rubow placers (on Spanish Fork) on right bank in NW1/4 sec.13, and SW1/4 sec.12, T.6 N., R.5 E., respectively.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 97 ft3/s Mar. 24, 1939; maximum gage height, 5.99 ft, Jan. 13, 1940; minimum discharge not determined.
