USGS 13261000 LITTLE WEISER RIVER NR INDIAN VALLEY ID

LOCATION.--Lat 44° 29'35", long 116° 23'53"(Rev.)(NAD27), in SE1/4 NE1/4 sec.1, T.13 N., R.1 W., Adams County, Granger Butte quad., Hydrologic Unit 17050124, on left bank 60 ft downstream from barn at Richardson Ranch, 1 mi upstream from diversion feeding into C. Ben Ross Reservoir, 4.8 mi southeast of Indian Valley, and at mile 21.0.

DRAINAGE AREA.--81.9 mi2. Mean elevation, 5,300 ft.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1920 to February 1921, March to June 1923, February 1924 to October 1927, May 1938 to September 1971 (discontinued).

REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 1347: 1923. WSP 1637: 1942(M). WDR ID-69-1: 1966.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 3,250 ft above NGVD of 1929, by barometer. Prior to Feb. 25, 1924, staff gage at approximately present site at different datum. Feb. 25 to Apr. 22, 1924, staff gage at Burger Ranch, 1 mi downstream at different datum. Apr. 23, 1924 to Nov. 18, 1927, water-stage recorder or staff gage at site 0.5 mi downstream at different datum. May 6, 1938 to Aug. 11, 1950, staff gage at present (1971) site and datum.

REMARKS.--Diversions above station for irrigation of about 50 acres (1966 determination). Many diversions below station for irrigation, including feeder canal to C. Ben Ross Reservoir.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge observed, about 1,840 ft3/s Feb. 4, 1925; minimum discharge, 2.6 ft3/s Nov. 27, 1967, gage height, -0.18 ft.
