LOCATION.--Lat 44° 35'10", long 113° 19'45" (NAD27), in NW1/4 SW1/4 sec.35, T.15 N., R.26 E., Lemhi County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17060204, Purcell Spring quad., on right bank 50 ft downstream from Nez Perce Creek, 0.5 mi upstream from county road bridge, and 6.5 mi south of Leadore.

DRAINAGE AREA.--71.4 mi².

PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1955 to September 1963 (discontinued). November 1938 to July 1939, at site 0.5 mi downstream, not equivalent due to diversions.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 6,280 ft above NGVD of 1929, by barometer.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 116 ft³/s Mar. 25, 1956, gage height 3.94 ft, from rating curve extended above 50 cfs by logarithmic plotting; maximum gage height recorded, 4.47 ft, Jan. 1, 1961, from ice jam; minimum discharge, 4.3 ft³/s Aug. 31, 1955, gage height 2.72 ft.
