Well information
This well is a confined aquifer screened well of a 3-well nest referred to as "CWO1" (also referred to as "Cromwell Far Nest"). This well is open to the Thomson Formation, which is a formation below the confined aquifer from which nearby pumping wells draw.
Depth: 339.59 feet
Open interval: 329.63–339.25 feet

Aquifer information
Type: Thomson Formation
Thickness: >32 feet (310–>342 feet, BLS)
Deposit: Formation was folded and metamorphosed during the Penokean orogeny. Consists of intercalated slate, siltstone, and graywacke.

This site was operated (2015-2017) in cooperation with the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund, Iowa State University, Minnesota Geological Survey, and the U.S. Geological Survey.

Water levels below land surface are accurate to 0.01 feet. Water levels above National American Vertical Datum of 1988 (sea level) are calculated by subtracting recorded water levels from the land surface elevation, which is accurate only to ± 0.1 feet based on a differential GPS survey and an optical level survey. Water-level differences are accurate to within 0.01 feet.

Water temperatures are accurate to ± 0.1°C.
