LOCATION - Lat 31°45'25", long 88°07'30" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Choctaw County, AL, Hydrologic Unit 03160203, near right bank at downstream end of Coffeeville Lock and Dam, 2 mi west of Coffeeville, 4 mi downstream of Turkey Creek, and at river mile 74.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 18,417 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR AL-84-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1960 to current year (gage heights only). October 1971 to current year in reports of U.S. Geological Survey. August 1960 to September 1971 in files of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is NGVD of 1929. Prior to October 1, 1993, water-stage recorder at same site at datum 14.00 ft lower.
REMARKS - Record considered good, except for estimated periods, which were poor. Records since Jan. 16, 1985, include diversions from Tennessee River basin through Bay Springs lock on Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway.
