LOCATION - Lat 30°44'10", long 88°46'52" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.34, T.3 S., R.8 W., George County, MS, Hydrologic Unit 03170007, St. Stephens Meridian, located on downstream side of right main pile cluster of bridge on Red Creek Road, one half mile north of Vestry, and 1 mile upstream from Little Red Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 441 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR MS-80-1: Drainage area.

Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 19.26 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) GEOID18).

Prior to October 16, 2023, the datum of gage was 20.10 ft above NGVD of 1929.

REMARKS - Records good, except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge 28,000 cfs; Gage height 21.48 feet; Date Aug. 15, 1987.
