LOCATION - Lat 36°23'17.56", long 84°37'48.89" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Scott County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 05130104, on right bank 300 ft downstream from Burnt Mill Bridge, 3.3 mi northwest of Robbins, and at mile 3.7.
DRAINAGE AREA - 272 mi².

GAGE - Data Collection Platform.

Datum of gage is 1081.17 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) GEOID18). 

 Prior to March 29, 2024, the datum of gage was 1081.01 ft (Sandy Hook Datum).

Prior to Aug. 9, 1940, staff gage 300 ft upstream had a gage datum 1.00 ft higher than the current datum.

From May of 2016 to March 29, 2024, the datum of gage was incorrectly assigned at 1110.544 ft NAVD88 in SIMS / Manuscript.  However, that elevation was never entered into the Monitoring Location Registry (MLR).

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Mar. 23, 1929 reached a stage of 22.1 ft, former site and datum, from information by local residents (estimated discharge 54,400 ft³/s); and flood of May 27, 1973, reached a stage of 18.92 ft, present site and datum, from floodmark; discharge 35,700 ft³/s, from rating curve extended above 14,000 ft³/s, on basis of slope-area measurement at gage height 18.5 ft.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 46,400 ft³/s, March 28, 2021, gage height 22.69 ft from flood marks; minimum discharge, 0.20 ft³/s, September 19-21, 1932.
