LOCATION - Lat 35°56'53.17", long 86°52'54.27" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Williamson County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 05130204, on right bank of U.S. Highway 431 bridge, 1.2 mi downstream from Spencer Creek, 1.8 mi northwest of the courthouse in Franklin, and at mile 84.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 210 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1988 to September 1999, discharge for gage height of 6.00 ft and below only. October 1999 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform and crest stage gage.  Datum of gage is 594.50 ft above NAVD of 1988, (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000) GEOID18). 

Prior to April 24, 2024, the datum of gage was assumed to be 594.55 ft NAVD of 1988.  However, was never updated in the Monitor Location Registry.

Prior to January 2016, the datum of gage was assumed to be 594.55 ft NGVD of 1929.  However, was never updated in the Monitor Location Registry.

COOPERATION - City of Franklin, Tennessee in conjunction with the USGS National Streamflow Information Program.
REMARKS - Flow is affected by Franklin sewage treatment plant outflow 1.1 mi upstream.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 20,900 ft³/s, May 2, 2010; gage height, 32.31 ft, May 2, 2010; minimum discharge, 2.8 ft³/s, October 11, 2010 ; minimum daily, 4.1 ft³/s, August 18, 1988.
