LOCATION - Lat 35°12'40", long 85°12'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Hamilton County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 06020001, on downstream side of Thrasher Pike bridge, 0.2 mi. east of U.S. Hwy. 27 and 250 ft. west of railroad, 0.2 mi. downstream from Poe Branch and 2.5 mi. upstream from Falling Water Creek, and a river mile 16.5.
DRAINAGE AREA - 74 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 1991 to July 1992 (gage heights only), May 2016 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform and radar stage sensing device.
REMARKS - Records fair except for estimated discharges which are poor and other periods as noted. 
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge,13,800 ft³/s, April 13, 2020; maximum gage height, 19.83 ft; minimum discharge, 0.00 ft³/s, no flow many days.

INSTRUMENTATION - Unshielded, standard 8-inch diameter, tipping-bucket precipitation gage, without heater, mounted on top of gage house with the top of the collector approximately 6 ft. above ground.
