LOCATION - Lat 34°39'21", long 88°07'21" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 sec.4, T.5 S., R.15 W., Colbert County, AL, Hydrologic Unit 06030006, on upstream side of bridge on Allsboro Road, 0.5 mi downstream from Cedar Creek, 0.8 mi southwest of Bishop, and at Mile 27.3
DRAINAGE AREA - 667 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 698: 1929. WSP 823: Drainage area. WSP 853: 1927, 1928(M), 1929, 1930(M), 1932(M).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1926 to June 1928, February 1929 to March 1932, June 1933 to September 1979, June 26, 2014 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform and crest stage gage. Datum of gage is 419.95  (NAVD 88).
Prior to June 26, 2014 nonrecording gage prior to June 23, 1928, and Feb. 10, 1929 to Mar. 31, 1932, at site 235 ft upstream, and June 7, 1933 to May 28, 1934, at bridge 250 ft upstream at datum 5 ft lower, and May 29, 1934 to September 30, 1979 at site 270 ft upstream at same datum.
REMARKS -  Flow partially regulated by Bear Creek Reservoir, 47.3 mi upstream beginning March 14, 1969. Record rated fair except for estimated periods which are poor, and other periods as noted.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 60,800 ft³/s, gage height, 24.12 ft. in gage well; 25.2 ft. from flood marks 20 ft. upstream from gage, March 17, 1973; minimum daily discharge, 9.30 ft³/s, Sept. 15-17, 1954; minimum gage height, -0.15 ft., September 1, 1943.
