LOCATION - Lat 35°47'03", long 87°27'36" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Hickman County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 06040003, on downstream right side of bridge on State Highway 48/100, just below confluence with Defeated Creek, 0.43 mi. northeast of public square in Centerville, 3.5 mi. downstream from Swan Creek, and at river mile 72.6. Station on Centerville 7.5-min. quadrangle.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2,048 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1919 to June 1955, published as "at Centerville" (03602000). May 2001 to present.
GAGE - Data collection platform, pressure transducer, wire-weight gage and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage 447.803 ft (NAVD 1988). Prior to October 1, 2012, datum of gage 447.764 ft (NGVD 1929).
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Normandy Lake (station 03596460) since January 1976.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 104,000 ft³/s, May 2, 2010, gage height, 47.50 ft.; minimum discharge, 175 ft³/s, Aug. 21, 25, 26, 2007.
