LOCATION - Lat 33°48'53", long 89°20'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.34, T.23 N., R.9 E., Calhoun County, MS, Hydrologic Unit 08030205, Choctaw Meridian, at bridge on State Highways 8 and 9, 0.6 mi northeast of their junction on the right downstream bank, and 3.5 mi upstream from the mouth. This site is operated independent of station 07282000, Yalobusha River at Calhoun City, and the discharges are combined for publication.
DRAINAGE AREA - 101 mi². (101 mi², contributing drainage area),combined drainage area of all channels including Yalobusha River.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD -

Maximum instantaneous discharge = 24,600 cfs on Nov. 21, 1977.

Maximum instantaneous gage height = 24.95 feet on Dec. 3, 1983.
