LOCATION - Lat 29°53'33", long 91°26'44" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in T.13 S., R.10 E., St. Mary Parish, LA, Hydrologic Unit 08080101, on right water's edge near Charenton.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1997 to current year. March 1963 to March 1997, station maintained by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District.
GAGE -

Gage heights collected on USACE platform from March 1963 to March 6, 2018, when platform and all reference marks were destroyed by high water.  Gage and new platform reestablished on June 3, 2021, and new gage height record established that is non congruent with original record.

Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is NAVD88 GEOID18 EPOCH 2010.0000.  Period from June 3, 2021 to Sept 13, 2008 datum of gage was NAVD88 GEOID03 EPOCH 2002.0000. Prior to Sep. 13, 2008, datum of gage is 0.33 ft below NAVD88 GEOID03 EPOCH 2002.0000.

REMARKS - Records good. Gage destroyed by high water on Mar 6, 2018.  No data collected from Mar. 6, 2018 to June 3, 2021.  Discharge measurements made as part of Atchafalaya Basin synoptics. Positive flow direction 140° from North.
