LOCATION - Lat 29°40'51", long 91°28'14" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, St. Mary Parish, LA, Hydrologic Unit 08080103, at State Highway 317 bridge, eight miles south of Franklin and five miles west of Wax Lake Outlet.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1999 to January 2000; miscellaneous discharge measurements only. January 2000 to September 2015, October 2015 to October 2019 (Unit values only) discharge. Gage height only, Feb 2020 to present.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1.21 feet below NAVD 88 GEOID12a EPOCH 2010.00.
REMARKS - Satellite telemetry at station.

Positive and negative flows at this site are defined by direction and are specified to be parallel to the channel at the gage location. The positive flow direction is Northwest.

Streamflow at this site is tidal influenced.

Tides cause significant cycles of approximately 24.84 hours at this site. Because a different portion of the 24.84 hour tidal cycle is averaged in successive daily (24-hour) computations, a systematic secondary oscillation, unrelated to basin hydrology and having a period of about two weeks may be apparent in daily data published from Oct 1 2000 to Sept 30 2015

No estimated daily discharge. Records poor. Reverse flow at times during year. Gage height and discharge affected by wind and boat traffic at all stages. Satellite telemetry at station.

Extremes may have been exceeded during period of missing record due to Hurricane Rita.
