LOCATION - Lat 34°06'44", long 117°58'07" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.06, T.1 S., R.10 W., Los Angeles County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18070106, on left bank, at stilling basin of outlet of Santa Fe Flood-Control Dam, 500 ft downstream from axis of dam, and 1.7 mi north of Baldwin Park.
DRAINAGE AREA - 236 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1315-B and 1635: 1943 (instantaneous maximum discharge). WSP 1928: Drainage area. WDR CA-99-1: 1998.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1942 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Auxiliary gage 500 ft downstream with crest-stage gage and concrete control. Datum of gage is 402.38 ft above NAVD of 1988. 
COOPERATION - Records of diversion to Rio Hondo provided by Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Cogswell and San Gabriel Flood-Control Reservoirs, combined capacity, 43,170 acre-ft; Morris Reservoir, capacity, 28,800 acre-ft; and Santa Fe Flood-Control Reservoir, capacity, 32,100 acre-ft. Diversions upstream from station for irrigation, power development, and ground-water replenishment. At times water is diverted from side of stilling basin to headwaters of Rio Hondo. Los Angeles County Department of Public Works diversion from San Gabriel River below Santa Fe Dam (11085000) to Rio Hondo during water year:
