LOCATION - Lat 38°52'59", long 121°03'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.22, T.12 N., R.8 E., Placer County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020128, on right bank, 600 ft downstream of Placer County Water Agency pumping plant, 1.0 mi upstream from Knickerbocker Creek, and 1.3 mi southeast of Auburn.
DRAINAGE AREA - 972 mi².
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS

CONTINUOUS WATER-QUALITY DATA:
WATER TEMPERATURE: Water years June 1999 to current year. (water years 1999-2023, daily). 

INSTRUMENTATION - Water-temperature recorder since June 4, 1999. Prior to Dec. 2, 2003, at site 0.8 mi upstream. Dec. 2, 2003, to Sept. 30, 2007, at site 0.4 mi downstream.
REMARKS - Water temperature can be affected by upstream releases.
Water Year 2016: Records excellent except for period of Aug. 29 - Sept. 30, which is good. Water Year 2015: Records excellent. Water Year 2014: Records excellent except for period of Dec. 2 - 4, which is good.
The practice of assigning qualitative accuracy ratings to water-quality data was discontinued in water year 2017.
