LOCATION - Lat 32°35'28.45", long 117°03'14.01" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, San Diego County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18070304, located at Mace Street Equestrian Staging Area for Otay Valley Regional Park. Vault is at the beginning of the trailhead, in dirt area, between outside parking area and bathrooms.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 570 ft. Upper casing diameter 1.94 in; top of first opening 550 ft, bottom of last opening 570 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 71 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of 2 inch PVC casing, black mark on north side (below LSD), 0.4 ft below land-surface datum, Dec. 13, 2008 to present; Top of concrete vault (above LSD), 0.5 ft above land-surface datum, Sep. 17, 2009 to May. 6, 2020. Prior to September 19, 2023, Land-surface datum is 70.85 feet above North American Vertical Datum.
PERIOD OF RECORD - Water year 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure sensor.
REMARKS - Records rated good. Sudden water-level changes may be attributed to nearby anthropogenic effects such as pumping and sampling. Cluster Wells consist of five continuous record groundwater wells, located in a common ground-level vault.
