LOCATION - Lat 47°17'00", long 68°35'07" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Aroostook County, ME, Hydrologic Unit 01010001, on right bank at Fort Kent, and 2.1 miles downstream from Fish River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5,929 mi² of which 249 mi² probably is noncontributing. Drainage area is 5,680 mi², not including 249 mi² drained by Chamberlain Lake through Telos Canal.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR ME-82-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - DISCHARGE: October 1926 to current year. Prior to October 1931, published as "at Fort Kent." October 1931 to September 30, 2010, published as "below Fish R, at Fort Kent, ME."
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 505 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to October 10, 1933, nonrecording gage, and October 10, 1933 to August 23, 2001 and November 5, 2002 to September 30, 2004, water-stage recorder on right bank in Fort Kent, Maine, datum of 488.81 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. August 24, 2001 to November 4, 2002 and October 1, 2004 to September 30, 2010, water-stage recorder on left bank at Clair, New Brunswick, Canada, at same datum.
COOPERATION - This station is maintained by the United States under agreement with Canada.
