LOCATION - Lat 43°47'55.4", long 74°13'46.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Hamilton County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02020001, on left bank 0.1 mi downstream from Lake Abanakee Dam, and about 2.0 mi northeast of village of Indian Lake.
DRAINAGE AREA - 195 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 2004 to September 2006, October 2006 (maximum gage height only), April 2007 to March 2011 (gage height only, discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 1,600 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Records good. Flow regulated by Lake Abanakee and Indian Lake. Satellite gage-height telemeter at station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 10.47 ft, Apr. 28, 2011, outside gage height was 10.74 ft, from crest-stage gage.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - November 2004 to September 2006: Maximum discharge, 3,410 ft³/s, June 29, 2006, gage height, 8.07 ft; minimum discharge, 38 ft³/s, May 17, 2005, gage height, 3.67 ft.
