LOCATION - Lat 40°44'05", long 74°16'14" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Maplewood Township, Essex County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02030104, on downstream right wingwall of bridge on Jefferson Avenue in Maplewood, 1,100 ft west of Fielding School, and 2.5 mi upstream of confluence of West Branch Rahway River and East Branch Rahway River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5.11 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-08: 1971(M), 1998(M), 1999(M), 2000(M).

PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous-record gage-height station with annual maximum discharge, water years 1971, 1998 to current year. Occasional low-flow measurements, water years 2000 to 2006.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 114.60 ft above NGVD of 1929.
