LOCATION - Lat 40°02'33", long 75°06'45" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Philadelphia County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02040203, on left bank 20 ft upstream from dam, and 120 ft upstream from Adams Avenue bridge in north Philadelphia.
DRAINAGE AREA - 16.7 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2009: 2008. WDR-US-2006-2010 (P). WDR PA-76-1: 1974.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1965 to September 1986, September 2005 to current year. Records for 1971-74 published in WDR PA-81-1. Water year 1970 published as station 01467084, Tacony Creek at County Line, Philadelphia. Published as station 01467086 Tacony Creek at County Line, Philadelphia from June 1974 to September 1979.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and concrete control. Datum of gage is 61.11 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to June 1972, recording gage at site 1,600 ft upstream at same datum. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the City of Philadelphia, Water Department and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Records for water years 2014-2016 are fair except those for daily discharges less than 10 ft³/s and those for daily discharges greater than 2,000 ft³/s, which are poor. Records for water years 2017-2022 are fair except those for discharges less than 10 ft³/s, those for discharges greater than 2,000 ft³/s, and those for estimated discharges, which are poor.
