015765185 UNNAMED TRIBUTARY TO BIG SPRING RUN NEAR WILLOW STREET, PA
LOCATION - Lat 39°59'28.29", long 76°15'50.23" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Lancaster County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050306, on left bank 0.8 mi upstream of bridge on Long Rifler Road, and 0.2 mi downstream from bridge on Beaver Valley Pike (Rt. 741) near Hans Herr Road.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1.05 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2008 to October 2017 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with electronic data logger. Elevation of gage is 322 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988, from Lidar. Prior to July 2, 2015, gage was located 500 ft upstream at datum one foot lower. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and Franklin and Marshall College.
REMARKS - Record for 2014 water year is rated poor. Record for 2015 water year is rated poor. Record for 2016 water year is rated poor. Record for 2017 water year is rated poor.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2016 to October 2017 (discontinued).
INSTRUMENTATION - YSI 6136 Water Quality probe interfaced with a Satlink Data Collection Platform (DCP) with a 15 minute recording interval.
REMARKS - Water temperature record for water year 2016 is rated good; turbidity record for water year 2016 is rated poor. Water temperature record for water year 2017 is rated good; turbidity record for water year 2017 is rated fair except those for April 18-21, June 2-9, 16, 20-21 25, July 26-29 Sept 1-2, 16, which are poor.
