LOCATION - Lat 40°00'33", long 76°09'44" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Lancaster County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 02050306, on right bank 100 ft downstream from South Ronks Road, 2.9 miles downstream of Watson Run, and 1.2 mi south of Ronks.
DRAINAGE AREA - 70 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2012 to present.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 325 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988, from topographic map. Satellite telemetry at station.
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
REMARKS - Records for water years 2014-2016 are fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Records for water year 2017 are good except those for estimated discharge, which is poor. Records for water years 2018-2019 are good except discharges above 200 cfs, which are fair and estimated discharge, which is poor. Records for water years 2020-2023 are fair except estimated discharge, which is poor.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2013 to current year.
COOPERATION - Water-quality samples were collected as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Water-Quality Network (WQN) with cooperation from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection.
REMARKS - As of October 2013, results from discrete water quality samples collected at this site are available through the U.S. Geological Survey National Water Information System web interface. Analyses for pH, water temperature, specific conductance, and dissolved oxygen were performed on site. All other sample analyses were performed at the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection laboratory in Harrisburg, Pa. Occasionally, values for filtered parameters may exceed values for the corresponding unfiltered parameter. These results are within the limits of analytical precision and methods.
