LOCATION - Lat 37°35'52", long 77°49'12" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Powhatan County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 02080205, on right bank 75 ft downstream from bridge on State Highway 711 at Fine Creek Mills, 0.8 mi upstream from mouth, and 6.7 mi northeast of Powhatan.
DRAINAGE AREA - 22.4 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1203: 1948. WSP 1303: 1945(M). WSP 1383: 1954. OFR 2006-1308: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1944 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 155.72 ± 0.1 ft. of NAVD88. Prior to Oct. 28, 1953, nonrecording gage and crest-stage gage at site 75 ft upstream at present datum.
COOPERATION - Records were provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Maximum discharge, 4,180 ft³/s, from rating curve extended above 2,600 ft³/s. Water-quality records for some prior periods have been collected at this location.
