LOCATION - Lat 34°30'33", long 81°35'54" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Union County, SC, Hydrologic Unit 03050108, on left bank, at upstream side of bridge on U.S. Highway 176, 0.4 mi downstream from Seaboard Coast Line Railroad, 0.5 mi northeast of Whitmire, and at mile 19.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 444 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1973 to current year.
GAGE - Data collection platform. Datum of gage is 299.60 ft above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally good except for estimated discharges, which are poor. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum instantaneous discharge: 31,200 cfs, Aug. 29, 1995 at a gage height of 37.32 ft. Minimum daily mean discharge, 28.4 cfs, Aug. 14, 2008.
