02225270 OHOOPEE RIVER AT GA 297, NEAR SWAINSBORO, GA
LOCATION - Lat 32°26'26.2", long 82°22'54.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Emanuel County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03070107, at the bridge on GA 297, 1.6 miles downstream from confluence with Little Ohoopee River, 1.6 miles north of US Interstate Highway 16, and 9.6 miles south of Swainsboro.
DRAINAGE AREA - 553 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: June 2009 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: June 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 145.03 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to October 14, 2021, datum of gage is 170 feet above National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) of 1929 (from topographic map).
COOPERATION - Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division (GAEPD).
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor.
