02227500 LITTLE SATILLA RIVER NEAR OFFERMAN, GA
LOCATION - Lat 31°27'07.7", long 82°03'15.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Pierce County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03070202, located on downstream left end, over the main channel bridge on GA 38, 4.0 miles northeast of Offerman, and 16.0 miles upstream from mouth. The bridge has a traffic lane, and parking is available at the left end of the bridge.
DRAINAGE AREA - 659 mi². revised.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR GA-2013: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: January 1951 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: October 2000 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite telemetry with a water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 56.79 feet above the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) OF 1988. Prior to November 8, 1952, a water-stage recorder was installed at a site 1,500 feet upstream, and from November 8, 1952, to September 30, 1975, a water-stage recorder was located at present site at a datum 1.00 feet higher.
COOPERATION - Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally good. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-ga_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 21,300 cfs March 7, 2020; maximum gage-height recorded, 14.59 feet March 7, 2020; minimum daily discharge, 0.00 cfs, October 10 to November 14, 1954, September 23 to October 6, 1990, July 21-22, 2000, August 17-18, 2000, and August 24 to September 3, 2000.
