SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -

DISCHARGE: March 2001 to current year.

GAGE HEIGHT: March 2001 to current year.

GAGE - Satellite data collection platform with water-stage vented pressure, and acoustic Doppler velocity meter. Datum of gage North American Vertical datum of 1988 (NAVD 88).
REMARKS - Streamflow at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. Daily mean discharge was computed from filtered unit value discharge data. The Godin low-pass filter to remove principal tidal frequencies from unit values. Positive discharge (ebb tide) is generally to the southwest direction, and negative discharge (flood tide) to the northeast. Discharge and gage height data are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey and online at http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD -

DISCHARGE: Maximum positive discharge (unfiltered), 25,608 ft³/s Sept. 30, 2022; maximum negative (unfiltered), 70,330 ft³/s Sept. 10, 2017 (Hurricane Irma). See Revision History.

GAGE HEIGHT: Maximum gage height, 4.90 ft Sept. 10, 2017 (Hurricane Irma) Revised; minimum, -2.83 ft Jan. 4, 2008.  See Revision History.
