LOCATION - Lat 27°09'59", long 81°52'47" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.14, T.38 S., R.24 E., DeSoto County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100101, (1927 North American datum) near center of span on downstream side of bridge on U. S. Highway 17, 0.5 mi north of Nocatee, and 2.2 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 132 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1334: 1952(M). WSP 1905: Drainage area. WDR FL-05-3A: Daily mean discharges are in error for Aug. 13 through Sep. 30, 2004.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 3.94 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of September 1948 reached a stage of 17.7 ft, from information by local residents.
