LOCATION - Lat 27°28'24", long 82°12'41" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.33, T.34 S., R.21 E., Manatee County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100202, near center of span on downstream side of bridge on State Highway 64, 2.0 mi downstream from confluence of North and East Forks Manatee River, 5.4 mi east of State Highway 675, 8.4 mi west of Myakka Head, and 36 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 65.3 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WRD FL 1968: 1966. WDR FL-75-3: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1966 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 40.93 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Manatee County.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2001 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - A 8-inch diameter, tipping bucket precipitation gage 15-minute interval, mounted on top of metal pipe attached to gage platform, with the top of funnel 9 ft above the ground.
REMARKS - Collection, computation and publication of precipitation data do not necessarily conform to standards used by the National Weather Service. Records of precipitation prior to October 1, 2001 not published but are available in files of the Geological Survey.
