LOCATION - Lat 28°08'26", long 82°38'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.18, T.27 S., R.17 E., Hillsborough County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100206, Lat 28°08'26", long 82°38'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.18, T.27 S., R.17 E., Hillsborough County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100206, on right bank 20 ft., 20 ft. downstream of State Road 582, downstream from Island Ford Lake, 3.7 miles west of Lake Fern, 6.0 miles northwest of Citrus Park and 6.5 miles upstream from mouth,
DRAINAGE AREA - 17 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1970 to January 1994; September 2008 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 25.52 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to August 1983, water-stage recorder on downstream side of bridge at same datum.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
CLIMATOLOGICAL RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 2016 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - An 8-inch diameter, tipping bucket precipitation gage 15-minute interval, mounted on an aluminum pipe with the top of the funnel 8 ft above the ground.
