LOCATION - Lat 28°53'36.1", long 82°36'20.0" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.20, T.18 S., R.1 7., Citrus County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100207, (Crystal River quadrangle), on slow speed sign at mouth of Kings Bay.
DRAINAGE AREA - 46 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2010:Water level data previously published an arbitrary datum for period of Dec. 1, 2006 through Sep. 30, 2009. Data revised at North American Vertical Datum of 1988 in 2010 water year for period of record.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 2006 to September 2010 (tidal high-high and low-low gage heights only); October 2010 to current year (maximum and minimum gage heights only).
GAGE - Datum of gage is at North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
REMARKS - Gage height at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. The extremes for periods published previously as tidal high-high and low-low gage heights are equivalent to maximum and minimum gage heights.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 7.14 ft, August 30, 2023; minimum gage height, 3.44 ft. below NAVD 88, Jan. 3, 2008 and September 29, 2022.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS

COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitor consisting of specific conductance and temperature sensors located near the surface and above the bottom. The top sensor elevation is 2.6 ft below NAVD 88. Bottom sensor elevation is 3.6 ft below NAVD 88.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Top sensor maximum, 32,300 microsiemens, Aug. 30, 2023; bottom sensor maximum, 33,100 microsiemens, Aug. 30, 2023; top sensor minimum, 689 microsiemens, June 12, 2022; bottom sensor minimum, 714 microsiemens, Aug. 02, 2021.
