LOCATION - Lat 28°54'05.6", long 82°38'44.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.024, T.18 S., R.1 6., Citrus County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100207, mounted mid-span on east side of bridge over Salt River on Fort Island Trail.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2006 to September 2010 (tidal high-high and low-low gage heights only); October 2010 to current year (maximum and minimum gage heights only).
GAGE - Water stage recorder. The datum of gage is at North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to Oct. 1, 2008 datum of gage was 0.18 ft lower.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
REMARKS - Gage height at this site is significantly affected by astronomical tides. The extremes for periods published previously as tidal high-high and low-low gage heights are equivalent to maximum and minimum gage heights.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 7.30 ft, August 30, 2023; minimum gage height, 3.65 ft below NAVD 88, Jan. 3, 2008.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 2006 to current year.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
INSTRUMENTATION - Water-quality monitors consisting of two specific conductance and temperature sensors located at fixed depths of -3.8 and -7.0 ft below North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
REMARKS - Top sensor comes out of water at times during extreme low tides.

TEMPERATURE: Top sensor maximum, 34.7 °C, Aug. 11, 12, 2023; bottom sensor maximum, 34.7 °C, Aug. 11, 2023; top sensor minimum, 4.2 °C, Jan. 10, 11, 2010; bottom sensor minimum, 4.1 °C, Jan. 10, 11, 2010.
