  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

LOCATION - Lat 33°25'18", long 84°34'42" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Fayette County, GA, Hydrologic Unit 03130005, at golf cart path, 0.12 miles downstream of Lake Kedron, 6.65 miles from confluence with Line Creek, 1.9 miles east of Peachtree City, GA.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD -
DISCHARGE: August 2014 to current year.
GAGE HEIGHT: August 2014 to current year.
GAGE - Datum of gage is 805 feet above National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) of 1929 (from topographic map).
COOPERATION - Fayette County.
REMARKS - Gage-height records are generally fair. Discharge records are generally fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor.  Additional details on the accuracy of the records can be obtained by contacting the USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center at gs-w-ga_nwisweb_data_inquiries@usgs.gov.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge recorded, 1,160 cfs, estimated based on rating extension above 625 cfs, June 8, 2019; maximum gage height recorded, 7.38 feet, June 8, 2019; minimum daily discharge, 0.58 cfs, September 4, 2016.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2014 to current year.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD -
SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: August 2014 to November 1, 2019.
WATER TEMPERATURE: August 2014 to November 1, 2019.
TURBIDITY: August 2014 to November 1, 2019.
INSTRUMENTATION - Satellite telemetry with a water-quality monitor.
REMARKS -
For period 08/21/2014-10/19/2017: Specific conductance, water temperature records are rated good. Turbidity record is rated poor.
Prior to October 1, 2004, turbidity data were published using parameter code 00076: turbidity, water, unfiltered, NTU (Nephelometric Turbidity Units). Data for parameter code 63680 (turbidity) were collected using a probe with the following specifications: turbidity, water, monochrome near infra-red LED light, 780-900 nm, detection angle 90 +/-2.5 degrees, FNU (Formazin Nephelometric Units). Field determinations of discharge, microbiology, specific conductance, pH, water temperature, turbidity, and dissolved oxygen are by the U.S. Geological Survey.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum recorded, 121 microsiemens, August 2, 2018; minimum recorded, 28 microsiemens, August 28, 2018. WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum recorded, 34.4°C, July 25, 2016; minimum recorded, 4.2°C, January 18, 2018. TURBIDITY: Maximum recorded, 422 FNU, July 2, 2017; minimum recorded, 0.0 FNU, August 25, 2016.
