LOCATION - Lat 30°34'10", long 86°55'25" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 sec.26, T.1 N., R.27 W., Santa Rosa County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03140103, at main channel on downstream side of bridge on State Highway 87, 5.9 mi upstream from mouth, and 8.0 mi southeast of Milton.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,340 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Gage height and discharge for the period May 13, 2015, to Oct. 18, 2018, were revised on Sept 6, 2018, based on levels ran May 22, 2018.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1964 to October 1972 (annual maximum elevation), October 2001 to September 2004, October 2004 to September 2005, (fragmentary), October 2005 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, index-velocity meter, and data-collection platform. Datum of gage is 35.5 ft below National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (from design datum of bridge deck furnished by Florida Department of Transportation). Prior to October 1972, nonrecording gage at present site at National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
REMARKS - Flow is tidally affected. Daily discharge computed for flow through main channel only for the period of Sept 2001 to current year.
