LOCATION - Lat 33°03'55", long 85°52'41" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Tallapoosa County, AL, Hydrologic Unit 03150109, on left bank, about 800 ft. downstream of county road bridge (Sanford Rd.), 1 mi downstream of Enitachopco Creek, 4 mi upstream of Hackney Creek, and 3 mi east of Hackneyville.
DRAINAGE AREA - 190 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR AL-86-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 1952 to September 1970, October 1970 to September 1972 (flood hydrograph only), October 1985 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 557.92 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to March 17, 1999, a water-stage recorder located about 800 feet upstream at county road bridge, at same datum.
REMARKS - Record considered good, except for estimated periods, which are poor. 
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Apr. 13, 1979 reached a gage height of 28.10 ft, from floodmarks, discharge, 26,400 ft³/s.
