LOCATION - Lat 40°23'39", long 79°48'22" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Allegheny County, PA, Hydrologic Unit 05020005, on top of concrete detaining wall, at Middle Avenue, at Wilmerding, 500 ft west of Patton Street, and 3.2 mi upstream from mouth at Monongahela River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 123 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Datum of gage was erroneously reported as 726.79 ft or 696.23 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 depending on source prior to January 8, 2024.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2004 to September 2014 (continuous discharge); October 2014 to current year (gage height only).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 726.3 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.  Prior to Oct 1, 2008, water stage recorder at present site at datum 5.0 ft higher.  Prior to January 8, 2024, the datum of gage was erroneously reported as 726.79 ft or 696.23 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988 depending on source. Datum of gage was reported incorrectly prior to 2011.  Satellite telemetry at station. 
COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
REMARKS -

 Starting in October 2014, only gage height is published. Gage height record is considered good.
