LOCATION - Lat 40°35'15", long 81°31'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Tuscarawas County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05040001, on left bank 150 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 21, 0.8 mi upstream from Broad Run, and 0.1 mi southeast of Strasburg.
DRAINAGE AREA - 311 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1305: 1932-33(M). WSP 1907: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1931 to March 1933, January 1935 to July 1939, October 1961 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 893.79 ft (NAVD 1988). Prior to October 2010, datum of gage was 896.24 ft (1912 adjustment); from Oct 1, 1961 to May 26, 1964, datum was raised 2 ft. to 898.24 ft.; after dredging of channel downstream in 1964, datum was reduced 2 ft. to 896.24 ft. July 29, 1931-Mar. 31, 1933, and Dec. 10, 1934-July 31, 1939, nonrecording gage; Oct. 1, 1961-May 26, 1964, water-stage recorder at datum 898.24 ft.
REMARKS - 2014 WY; Records fair, except for estimated daily discharges which are poor. 2015 WY; Records fair, except for estimated daily discharges which are poor. Oct. 1, 2015 to Nov. 9, 2016: records fair.  Nov. 10, 2016 to Oct. 31, 2017;  Records fair.  November 01, 2017 to Nov. 14, 2018; records are poor. Flood flow regulated by Beach City Lake, 5 mi upstream, since August 1937.  A mean of 15.5 ft 3/s was diverted for 2022 Water Year. Water-quality data formerly collected at this site.
