LOCATION - Lat 39°55'28", long 81°26'17" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Guernsey County, OH, Hydrologic Unit 05040005, on left bank 730 ft. downstream from Senecaville Dam, 1 1/2 miles southeast of Senecaville, and 2 miles upstream from dam of Greenwood Mill.
DRAINAGE AREA - 118 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1907: Drainage area. WDR-OH-81-1: (M). WDR-OH-83-1: 1982. WDR-OH-88-1: 1987.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous discharge gage, September 1938 to September 1991, October 2014 to current; recording crest stage gage October 1991 to Sept. 30 2007 (station discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and concrete control. Datum of gage is 798.72 ft (NAVD 1988). Prior to July 2015, datum was 799.00 ft (1912 adjustment). Prior to January 24, 1942, water-stage recorder, at site 150 ft downstream at (1912 adjustment).
REMARKS -

Sept. 2, 2015 to Jan. 6, 2016: records are poor, Jan. 6, 2016 to Nov. 9, 2016: records are fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Nov. 10, 2016 to Aug. 31, 2014: discharge records fair except for estimated records, which are poor.  Sept. 1, 2017 to Nov. 2, 2017: discharge records are good.  2018 WY: records fair except estimated discharges, which are poor.

Flow regulated by Senecaville Lake. Water is diverted from Senacaville Lake; figures for diversion after 1942 unavailable, diversion not included in figures of daily discharge. Water-quality data collected at this site 1965 to 1977. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers satellite telemeter at station.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,030 ft³/s, September 17, 2004, gage height, 9.88 ft.
