LOCATION - Lat 37°16'10", long 85°53'17" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Hart County, KY, Hydrologic Unit 05110001, gage house at the City of Munfordville water treatment plant on River Road at Munfordville, and at mile 225.9.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,673 mi² of which 180 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1555: 1916(M), drainage area, WSP 1909: 1937. WDR KY-11-01: Latitude/longitude.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1915 to December 1922, October to September 1931, December 1936 to February 1937 (in WSP 838), October 1937 to current year. Monthly discharge only October 1937 to March 1938, published in WSP 1305. Gage-height records collected at same site since 1924 are contained in reports of National Weather Service.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with telemetry. Datum of gage is 451.70 feet above NGVD of 1929.
COOPERATION - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District.
REMARKS - 10/01/2013-Current: Records good except for estimated daily discharges which are poor. Flow regulated by Green River Lake beginning February 1969 (station 03305990).
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of January 1913 reached a stage of 54.0 feet at former site, discharge, 67,000 ft³/s.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 76800 ft³/s, Mar. 1, 1962, gage height 57.72 ft.
